We are delighted to announce that Neilsons Solicitors and Estate Agents are ending the year on a high note, with another three members of our property team graduating today with the Scottish Law Society Accredited SPC Certificate in Property Practice.
Congratulations to Megan Somerville, Sarah Versey, and Marion Goffin, who have successfully completed the rigorous qualification and are now part of a growing group of professionals driving standards higher within the Solicitor Estate Agency profession.
This achievement comes hot on the heels of last year’s success, when our very own Lyndsey Beckwith and Amy Howard became two of the first people in the country to sit and pass the qualification. With five team members now qualified, we are proud to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to excellence in property services.
The Certificate in Property Practice is specifically designed to enhance knowledge and skills within our industry, with a particular focus on improving standards. It includes vital modules such as Conveyancing for Non-Conveyancers, Legal Compliance and Ethics ensuring that property professionals can deliver outstanding service and expertise to clients, with a full understanding of an entire property transaction, from first valuation right through to handing the keys on to the new owners.
With new regulations within our industry from Trading Standards this year, the course ties in with the ESPC Charter, which Neilsons were founding members of, guaranteeing our clients a comprehensive service with exceptional client care and professionalism.
This year’s graduates join a cohort of 43 Solicitor Estate Agents from across the country who have achieved this important milestone. The course is run by the ESPC in collaboration with the Law Society and Edinburgh Conveyancers Forum and enables qualified solicitor estate agents to attain the highest levels of knowledge, service and client care, going above and beyond the levels offered by traditional estate agents.
At Neilsons, we continually invest in the professional development of our team, enabling us to provide the very best service to our clients, as recognised by The Times Legal Awards this year, where we were awarded the prize for Excellence in Client Care.
We are extremely proud of Megan, Sarah, and Marion for their hard work and success, and we look forward to their continued contributions in 2025 and beyond.
