Neilsons Solicitors and Estate Agents are pleased to advise that the property market in Scotland is permitted to reopen fully with the appropriate safeguards in place from Monday 29th June 2020, following the First Minister’s announcement today.
Whilst we await official guidance on the way forward from the Scottish Government, at Neilsons we continue to prepare safely and reasonably in the run up to this official date of reopening.

Encouragingly, there has been considerable underlying activity in the dynamic and resilient Edinburgh and Lothians property market despite lockdown. We have received and submitted a surprisingly large number of Offers and activity is rising considerably with each passing week. Mid to end of May activity was back up at pre-lockdown levels and in June so far Neilsons activity is 33% up on June 2019. Activity levels will rise even further as a result of this announcement which is encouraging for the property market and wider Scottish economy”.
