For the past four years, Neilsons have supported the Edinburgh Food Project with their foodbank appeal in the lead up to Christmas, but right now the need for food donations is greater than ever. Edinburgh Food Project are asking for urgent donations to allow them to continue to provide support for those most in need.
The Edinburgh Food Project are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK. So far in the year to April 2023, 12,822 parcels have left the warehouse to go to seven foodbanks across Edinburgh. This is twice the number of food parcels required than in the same period in 2022.
Neilsons are collecting food donations at our new Property Centre at 162 St Johns Road, Corstorphine, Edinburgh EH12 8AZ and will be delivering directly to the warehouse over the next few days and weeks.
