This September, Neilsons Solicitors & Estate Agents are lacing up their walking boots and stepping out in support of a truly remarkable cause – Edinburgh’s Maggie’s Centre. For our “Steptember – Maggie’s Million Month” challenge, our dedicated teams of four have committed to collectively walking over one million steps per team, with the highlight being the Edinburgh Kiltwalk, all to raise funds and awareness for the incredible work Maggie’s Centres do.
Why Maggie’s?
The Maggie’s Centre based at Edinburgh’s Western General Hospital provides free practical, emotional, and social support to people with cancer and their families. The support they offer has been experienced firsthand by some of our team and is second to none, helping thousands of people navigate the challenging and often overwhelming journey that comes with a cancer diagnosis. From offering a calm space to providing expert advice and emotional support, Maggie’s is a lifeline for many, and we’re proud to continue to support them in their mission.
Our ‘Steptember’ Challenge
Throughout the month of September, the Neilsons team will be taking on the challenge to walk over one million steps. This will include participating in the renowned Edinburgh Kiltwalk, a vibrant and scenic event that sees walkers don their finest tartan and trek 21 miles across the city and beyond. But in true Neilsons style, our efforts won’t stop there – we’ll be clocking up steps every day, with team members taking on various walks, and runs to ensure we smash our goal.
