Main duties and responsibilities involve:-

  • Assist solicitors with ID checks and law society compliance, as well as Anti-Money Laundering checks
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of compliance checks and actions taken
  • Ensure that all files and documents are stored and managed in line with data protection laws
  • Filing, scanning and photocopying
  • File management, including storage and archiving
  • Any other ad hoc requirements as advised by the team

Essential Skills and Attributes:-

  • Highly organised and client driven with good attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work to critical deadlines and effectively time manage workload
  • IT and confident typing skills
  • Interest in conveyancing and the property market

Main duties and responsibilities involve:-

Conveyancing:-

  • Exposure to assisting the conveyancing team in regard to all aspects of residential conveyancing work, notably:- sales, purchases, discharges, transfers of title, re-mortgages and equity work;
  • Attending to post settlement registration and compliance obligations
  • Preparation of tax submissions;
  • Preparation of legal documents;
  • Ensuring clients receive a first class service throughout their conveyancing transaction;
  • Exposure to business development and the furtherance of existing business relationships;

Essential Skills and Attributes:-

  • Strong academic record.
  • Highly organised and process driven with good attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated and dedicated.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Legal Cashier

Neilsons Solicitors and Estate Agents – one of the top selling firms in the ESPC – are currently recruiting a Legal Cashier to help contribute towards the daily operation of an efficient and effective cash room service, ensuring confidentiality, accuracy and integrity of data are maintained at all times. In addition, ensuring all Law Society Accounting rules are adhered to.

To be considered for this opportunity you must have a minimum of 2 year’s cashroom experience.

Essential skills:

  • Responsibility for billing including drafting and processing fees, amendments of fees, credit notes.
  • Reviewing and approving banking transactions through a bespoke database & online baking platform
  • Production and distribution of periodic and adhoc reports.
  • Reviewing and developing processes, procedures and controls.
  • Induction and on-boarding of new clients.
  • Adherence with internal and external regulations, compliance and AML.
